2 hour course delivered by Matt Jackson Nurse Assessor with 25 years experience teaching in General Practice on PLT days. References available on request.

This mandatory course is for any General Practice staff looking to fulfil their BLS requirements. Suitable for new and current Receptionists, Administrators, HCA’s, GPA’s, Nurses, Paramedics & General Practitioners  

These courses cover the essentials of managing immediate and potentially life threatening incidents in a systematic manner.

• Recognition and obtaining vital signs (Conscious Unwell)

• Deteriorating Patient 

• Choking

• Scene and Primary Survey 

• Unconsciousness Breathing, (Secondary Survey)

• Unconscious Not Breathing (CPR)

• Safe Use of Defibrillator 

• Safe Use of Auto Injectors (Anaphylaxis)

• Acute Asthma management 

• Paediatric Modifiers and Babies 

• Emergency Preparedness plans

• Resuscitation Equipment in General Practice

Please note:

This is an Interactive hands-on practical training, working in close proximity with other learners. There will be kneeling, lying down and rolling postures throughout the course.
