A Free 5 day course for a maximum of 8 learners with an interest in Green Social Prescribing. (There is no prerequisite to attend).
Dates: September 2nd - 5th 2024
Venue: In the Garden of The Salvation Army Leicester South Ladysmith Road off Saffron Road South Wigston Leicester LE18 4UZ.
Learners can access the Loaf and Bloom Coffee shop within the Salvation Army for lunch. Hot drinks and snacks will be provided. Indoor toilet facilities available however the course will be delivered 100% outdoors with our pop up Yurt as classroom. Wood burner for warmth:)
Course includes:
Level 3 Learning Beyond the Classroom Ofqual Qualification Awarded by ITC First and Accredited by the IOL (requires a portfolio submission)
Mental Health First Aid Certificated by ITC First
Bushcraft & Green Wood Working Skills Competencies (informally assessed and certificated)
All adapted to meet the needs of the Green Social Prescribing Initiative

The Role of the facilitator in the outdoors
Evidence for Health Improvement outdoors
Introduction to portfolio and evidence log

Day 2 Risk Benefit Analysis

Day 3 Support/Challenge Model of facilitation

There are options to attend an Emergency First Aid at Work course should learners not already have this qualification (recommended). Fee applies
We also deliver training at the Salvation Army on clinical skills such as ECG, Blood Pressures, Venepuncture and HCA Care Certificate. Fee Applies
